Field Research at the Croatian School Museum within the Framework of ReDiP Project Activities

As part of the project activities of ReDiP, the project team members — Associate Professor Jadranka Mlikota, PhD, project leader, and Associate Professor Vjekoslav Galzina, PhD, deputy project leader — conducted field scientific research at the Croatian School Museum in Zagreb on 29 April 2026. The research focused on school manuals and textbooks from the period spanning the mid-19th century to the first decades of the 20th century, with particular emphasis on content related to practical and economic skills as early forms of technical education within the Croatian educational system of that time. Through the analysis and evaluation of the collected materials, insights will be gained into the types of practical knowledge and skills that were integrated into the Croatian school system as a means of preparing individuals for the demands of modern industrial society.
